My bf has a lower sex drive than me

So for about a month now, my bf and I haven’t had sex because we do long distance so we only see each other once a week and when we do, we go to each other’s parent’s house so we really can’t have sex when we’re together. However, it’s so hard for me to adjust because we used to have sex every week when I used to have my own place but the issue is I have continued to have a high sex drive. I talked to him about how I get that he has every right to set boundaries but at the same time it kinda hurts my feelings because it make me feel insecure. And like I said I already communicated this to him and he tried to reassure me but I just don’t know how to overcome those emotions. Does anybody have any advise on how to take these types of things less personal because it’s really hard for me because I used to really struggle with my self esteem so it’s just hard to change my mentality?
