Child Support
So I just received a lump sum of money today from my ex for child support is it wrong if don't tell my husband? Back story... My ex is not involved with our kids in the way he should. I have 3 children with him and he puts everything over them. I say this because he would say oh I can't get them because I have plans and I got tired of the back n forth stuff so I blocked him from calling me. When he did get them I would have to take food & clothes for a overnight visit pick them up and drop them off. I just felt like I was still being controlled(he was verbally, mental, physically, emotional abusive to me) because he gets to pick and choose when he wants to be a dad. I never wanted to put my ex on child support but I had no choice after we broke up. He was not helping me at all my kids needed shoes and clothes at the time.
My husband helps with my kids especially my youngest. My older boys don't have a real relationship with him yet they just know he is my husband. My oldest lives primarily with my grandad. My family helps with them as well. I know I'm wrong for not telling him yet and I haven't spent any money yet. I want the money being spent on my kids not for misc expenses. I never been a type of person to think child support is to pay rent, bills, etc. I pay for the things my kids need shoes, clothes, food(I get food stamps) so I don't ask my husband these are my kids not his. He will pay I just don't ask.
We own 3 houses(his name) I should say so only bills we pay is utilities we fix and rent houses. He pays and has been paying for everything. We both receive enough money to cover our own things.
My husband is a good man to me and my kids always have been. I just want this sat aside for my kids. My oldest is 12 wearing men size on everything. I have to buy things for home and for my grandfather's house for my son.
When I said my family helps I mean watching them but I send what they need. My grandad won't accept any money from me he says give it to the kids.
Update: I'm gonna tell him I don't want secrets...
