Water leaking maybe?

I had gone to the restroom peed and took my panty liner off left walked around the apartment for a little and as I’m putting my clothes in the washer I tell myself “hmm why am I wet?” I finish and go to the restroom and my underwear is wet but not soaking wet. When your water break does it leak? Or does it just gush out? I’m a first time mom so I have never experienced this and I noticed everyone has different experiences. I also have a doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon and I’m hoping I dilated more.
