Wait?

Question

Hello,
I just started a relationship with a guy I have been talking to for 2 years, we finally took the next step. My question is, how long should I wait before having sex? I know we have been friends for 2 years but We’re only a few days in our relationship. 
Second question: I have a child and he does too. How long should I wait on that before the met? I have never let them meet over the 2 years of friend zone. And of course, any advice on this relationship world is helpful too. It’s all so new.

When you both feel ready. I think 2 years of friendship is a good foundation, but it still can be a lot to transition from just friends to actually dating. If you want to take it slow, or rip your clothes off now, it’s whatever works for you. I think going slow would almost be better though - maybe keep the 3 date “rule” so you can have time to adjust to being in a romantic relationship. But again it’s whatever feels right for you. 
As for your kids, personally I would wait until I could tell how serious this was and how things were going. Sometimes relationships with good friends are the best. Other times you realize you were better off as friends and it’s not a match. So I’d wait at least 6 months, maybe even longer, until I could gauge how serious it was. I wouldn’t want the honeymoon phase to catch me off guard either. Bc if things don’t pan out and they’ve met/bonded with your child, they could get hurt in a breakup too.

You should have sex when you feel the moment is right! Some people have sex ok their first date and it goes great and others wait and the relationship is great for them too. 
As for meeting your kid, if you see this person as a long term partner already and you guys have spoken about what type of roles you’d both play in one another’s kids life, then I say now is a good time but if you aren’t sure if you’re at that sort of long term commitment yet I’d wait.
