My husband and I can't decide if we should circumsise our boy or not. My OB says it's completely cultural preference. The few people we've asked have been very opinionated about the topic. I'm curious what Glow thinks. Should we or shouldn't we?

I won’t tell you what you should do, but I could not see a valid reason to do so. About 1% of uncircumcised babies go on to have an issue, and the aesthetics of my sons penis aren’t of any concern to me.

It's 100% cosmetic except in the EXTREMELY rare instances of absolute medical need. 
If you cant decide if you should cosmetically alter your baby, then dont do it. It has NO added benefit to the child, but can cause problems for the baby. botched circumcisions arent rare and they can lead to more surgery, penile deformation, and even loss of penis.

You cant undo a circumcision. It can always be done when he's older and decides to. You can never give him his foreskin back

Watch a video of circumcision. It’s traumatic and barbaric. It’s genital mutilation and we would freak if we did this to girls. Lots of other countries don’t circumcise. If your son wants to be cut he can make that decision for himself when he’s older. No need to cut a perfect little baby. The foreskin is there for protection. It has many purposes actually.

I ultimately let my husband decide since he’s the one with the penis lol. He was really back and forth on it but ultimately decided to do it.

In Ontario Canada, it isn’t covered under our health care because it isn’t medically necessary. Parents have to pay out of pocket and do it for looks and the extremely small and rare chance a child could get an infection.

I know if I have a son I will go ahead an circumcise him. Not just for “aesthetic” reasons. Because if there is a lot of extra skin it can cause infection and a foul smell. And trying to get boys to make sure they clean down there when they get older is easier said than done. It’s just a hygiene and avoiding affection thing for me.

That should be up to you and your husband. We had my son circumcised. Nothing wrong if you do or don't.
