Outbreak after Sex

So i was diagnosed almost a year ago with HSV-2. I haven’t had sex in a long time. Recently I had sex last week and now I’m having an outbreak. Just wondering, will this happen every time i have sex? Is there any natural remedies people use to soothe outbreaks or any preparations you do before encountering sex so that you don’t have an outbreak?
