Please help!
Question! My son started daycare on Monday. He is known to not nap well at other peoples homes (he very rarely napped for his previous sitter when he went to her months ago, and when he’s at my moms he doesn’t either).
Well the past two nights, he’s not sleeping through the night at all. He usually wakes up a few times but quickly soothes himself back to sleep. Last night he woke up twice and I had to go in there and soothe him back to sleep.
He isn’t sleeping for the new daycare, but it was expected. The only place he truly naps well is at home. He turns two in a month, and out of his 23 months of life, I’ve even staying home with him for about a year and 4 months of it.
So my question is,
Could it be this new daycare is stressing him out?
Is there a sleep regression around this time?
Is it normal for him to do this? I had a bad experience in daycare myself, so I’m very paranoid about him going to daycare. He freaks out when I pass him over to his teacher, but I know that’s normal. I just want to make sure this is normal before I panic. Am I stressing over nothing?
