Proper peanut butter and jelly sandwich technique

After the shit show last night I feel like we could all use a mental break. This debate has to be more productive than last night's. I know it's not controversial, but I think CC could use a light hearted debate right now.

So my question is, when making a peanut butter and jelly, do you put the peanut butter on both sides of the bread, or just one side?

My husband and I argue about this more than we probably should. I put peanut butter on both sides and then jelly on either side so the layers go in the order bread, peanut butter, jelly, peanut butter, bread. Husband insists you put jelly on one side and peanut butter on the other. Is there a special way you all make a PB&J? Any tips, tricks, additional toppings/ingredients are welcome. We are a sandwich loving household.
