Should breastfeeding be shown / normalised in kids tv shows?

breastfeeding be shown / normalised in kids tv shows?" /> 
So since becoming a mother I’ve been aware of kids tv shows and cartoons.
I was thinking about it and realised that any situation where there is a baby being fed, it’s only ever being fed from a bottle.  I’ve never seen in a cartoon or kids show breastfeeding being depicted.
Do you think breastfeeding should be shown to kids this way? Or does it really not matter?

I'm pretty neutral on it lol I don't care if they show it, I don't care of they show bottles. I've breastfed around friends children or while out and no child has ever been shocked/confused/ uncomfortable or even asked.

Keep kids cartoons alone,its not their job to normalize or push the idea on anything 🙄  Keep them simple and push kindess, acceptance, and respect.

I breastfed all of my kids and believe in it, but I also don’t think it is a cartoons job to normalize everything to kids. I don’t think it’s that deep. I would have an issue if they took the stance of one way being ‘right’ or another way being ‘weird’, but just giving a baby a bottle doesn’t raise an issue with me. I will raise my kids to understand breastfeeding is a natural and healthy option, and that people also feed babies with bottles. I actually feel like parents look too much outside their home with expectations that outside influences should help raise their kids into well rounded people. I’m just not a fan of that POV.

I voted yes, but I don’t think it’s that important. Kids generally don’t care. It’s adults that need more exposure to it

I really don’t think it matters. I am more than okay with my kids seeing women breastfeeding, but I don’t think it’s one of those things that needs to be included in kids shows. I wouldn’t be upset if it were, I just don’t see it as that important for it to be in their shows.

We normalize crap like 7 year olds playing GTA. Lord forbid we show boobs being used for something other than sex to kids.

I voted yes because kids honestly don’t even notice from my experience. I’m pretty open about bf and when I visited my grandmother to introduce her to my first he needed to nurse. I didn’t even say anything and began nursing a few minutes in my aunt looked up and noticed I was nursing and threw a little fit that she didn’t want her sons seeing that (5&3). Thing is they didn’t even notice until she pointed it out and the older one simply asked what I was doing to which I said feeding the baby and he said nothing and went back to playing with his cars. Kids don’t think about a boob sexually, it’s through growing up and into adulthood that we begin sexualizing them. Maybe by giving subconscious cues early on they will be less likely to over sexualize later in life?

I don't think, they "have to show it", but I would'nt mind at all, if they did show it.
I don't like those "have to be in there" rules, I like things to be natural. Like there "have to be at least that many woman working in the management" rule is well, very good to include woman, but I think women should be included also without that rule said out loud, there should not be a need for that slogan.
And I feel the same about cartoons, all real and natural things can be t he re, but there should not be a rule, that it has to be there...

I don’t think it matters and they shouldn’t have to buy shouldn’t shy away from it either. I believe the Rugrats showed the twins mom breastfeeding in an episode. There wasn’t any sort of uproar because of it that I know of.
