When to take OPK and understanding it

What is the best time to take opk ? I have been taking in the morning between 6-8am and again in the afternoon. I drink about 80-90 ounces of water a day before 5pm so I am not sure if that willl dilute my afternoon tests even if I hold my urine for 1.5-2hours like I’ve read .

Also, will the opks gradually go up within the app before peaking. I had for example .2, .3, .25, .61 so does that mean peak is coming or it’s just a ball park all are still low .. apps say I should ovulate in 3-5 days depending on the app.
