Should the state go after the dead beat parent for money if they pay out welfare to the kid?

Like, if you are a single parent and you need assistance. Should the state have the right to go after the other parent to recoup their loses on what they pay out to the child? I know many states actually already do this.

I think there is no problem for the state to go after the other parent for support only if they sign birth certificate or have a dna test only not if the mom names them the parent without documentation

You’re a dirtbag if you don’t pay child support. My mom didn’t see a dime from my “dad” growing up. Now that I am older I wish I could recoup all the money he owed her, and let her have it all. I want to slap the shit out of him for so many reasons but the fact that he wormed his way out of the financial responsibilities of creating a child is disgusting.

If you don't want to pay child support you need to at least legally end your rights and relationship with that child. Many parents (not just men) up and bail and expect to harass, ignore or shame the other parent out of support. The sad part is that works sometimes. The state needs to step in.

That’s typically what the state does when the primary parent gets assistance. It might not happen exactly when u want it but uncle sams gotta get that money from somewhere

I think child support needs to be reformed altogether, because in some situations it’s ridiculous. For example:
My fiancé (when he was my boyfriend) would have been forced to pay me child support for our son because we weren’t living together at that particular time. I couldn’t even say I didn’t want it, or they would have kicked me off Medicaid. We were in the process of buying a house at the time to move in together as well. 
My uncle has 50/50 custody of his two children, she cheated on him while he was working on the boats and he still has to pay her child support. 
I believe in situations where the father up and leaves the mother, causes emotional trauma (cheating, pressuring to not have the child, threats, etc.) or where either parent does something awful that ends the relationship (cheating, abuse) the guilty party should have to pay child support. Child support should not leave the person barely getting by themselves. Involved parents shouldn’t have to pay, and shouldn’t have to sign away their rights in order to do so.

In SC they require you to at least attempt to collect child support before giving assistance. I think it's complete crap that they'll refuse you assistance if you don't do it, but I agree with the right to try for child support from the other parent. However, I don't think this should be a requirement to anyone who is unsure of who the father is.

Austria does. If the other parent is known CPS will front you the child support and then get it back from them. If they refuse to pay they directly take it out of their pay check.

Yes. You can’t just spread your seed and not expect to help contribute to the child. Of course once proven they are in fact the father of the child.
