Do I have a right to feel a little envious?

I’ll start this off by saying I have NO problems at alllllll with my baby father or his girlfriend I actually respect her & our kids love her to death. However we were together for like 6 years we broke up 3 years ago & I got married a year after happily. They got together last year & I’ve noticed so many things he does with her that he never did with me. We ended because I made the mistake of cheating & he couldn’t move on from it but I don’t think I would’ve cheated had he done half of the things he’s doing for her with me. Number one he takes pictures with her ALL the time he never took them with me even after the kids, number two he moved with her quickly took him forever to want to live with me, number three they have a baby on the way & they are planning maternity photos & he says they will be recording the birth he wasn’t even there when i had our kids (out of his control but still) & when he talks about her he just makes it like known that she’s his everything. I’m happy for him & happy with my hubby but it just stings a little.

You’re human you’re entitled to have emotions but I don’t think you should be so worried or “envious” about all of this when you moved on & got married before he even got with her. My partner does ALOT of things with me that he didn’t do with his kids’ mom & honestly I don’t think anything of it besides the fact that they just weren’t meant to be, same for you & your kids’ dad. You guys came together & created beautiful children that can’t be taken from you but that doesn’t mean you two were destined for one another, it is what it is. Focus on your marriage & your life don’t start envying this woman or your bd & causing issues.

Are you happy in your marriage? He’s in a completely different relationship with a completely different person, he’s probably grown, just as you should’ve. Not everyone is a match or brings out the best in each other, you didn’t work out. You cheated and blame him for it. You need to let it go. I prefer happiness for others over envy. You should he happy for him. Happy for yourself and not worried about what he didn’t do with you three years ago in what sounds like a toxic scenario.

I’m sorry he didn’t do those things with you but it’s in the past. It was over 3+ years ago, people change and grow. I think it’s best you just let go. Especially since you have a whole new life

You're married to someone else. It's time to stop focusing on what your ex does with and for his new girlfriend. Sometimes people just aren't right for each other and they don't do all those special things until they meet the right person. Focus on your marriage and being happy with your husband and let your ex live his life without feeling jealous about what he didn't give you.

I think you need to seek help to work through these emotions. If you’ve truly moved on you should be thrilled he is showing his children what a healthy relationship looks like. Perhaps you’re envious because your new husband is also not doing these things for you, and may not be meeting your needs.
