Can I rely on NIPT results being accurate?
19 weeks. Normal anatomy scan except they said baby has a bright spot on her heart (EIF, soft marker for Down syndrome). Said they’re not concerned since they only found one, and it’s common.
NIPT blood test came back “negative” for everything, including Down syndrome. Doctors not concerned at all.
I’m a wreck. Can I trust NIPT and be happy?
