Just found out I have herpes simplex and I’m a mess....

I feel absolutely ashamed that I could let myself be that careless during sex. How have those of you that have herpes simplex dealt with it? Idek how to feel. I’ve never had an outbreak in 25 years of my life and woke up this morning in excruciating pain.

Also..can I still breastfeed my 19 month old daughter? I’m terrified I’m going to give it to her. 😣😰

Any advice would be appreciated.
