Covid questions

I got a call from my boss and said I’m considered a close contact of someone that tested positive. I was surprised cause I maybe spend 5 minutes a day with this person, we both wear masks, and are not within 6 feet. He said that I am required to quarantine for 14 days. Then the person that tested positive called me and said she only has to quarantine for 10 days per the health department.

This whole thing is so confusing. I have no problem quarantining like I’m told but where do I get accurate information? Can I be around my husband? Does he have to quarantine too? Should I get tested? Can I even be tested without symptoms? Will being tested changed anything or will I still have to quarantine if I’m negative?
