HELP!!! I've had chronic, reoccurring BV after sex for a while now. Flagyl makes me sick to my stomach and I always get a yeast infection no matter what I do. I take prebiotic, eat yogurt, etc. Has anyone tried boric acid suppositories?
 
There's a ton of great reviews on this and other similar products...BUT the bad reviews...are REAL BAD and scare 😬 the 💩 out of me. Got me thinking me vadge will be on fire 🔥 or bleed or worse...FALL OFF. 
Y'all, I need someone to give me the real DL on the BA. PLEASE!!!

I never understand why people want to use boric acid in their vaginas. That's what you use to clean toilets and showers and kill ants.

Just try it. I’ve used boric acid suppositories countless times and while it won’t get rid of bv, it will help alleviate the symptoms for a couple of days. Consult your doctor for a different antibiotic (flagyl rarely gets rid of bv completely anyway), you could even try a vaginal gel antibiotic. Do your own research on treating and eliminating the infection because chances are, your doctor doesn’t know much beyond Flagyl. The cure for this infection is rarely studied in clinical trials, so doctors often just go with cdc and fda guidelines, even if they don’t work for most.

If it is reoccurring I suggest to see a dr. It sounds like there could be other problems. 
Also, your partner needs to be treated for yeast infection each time too if unprotected sex is occurring.

Unfortunately, as long as you have unprotected sex you'll risk the chance of getting BV or throwing your Ph levels off. The ph level for the vagina is 3.5- 4.5 and the ph level for semen is 7.1- 8.0. Semen can throw off your ph level.I've tried boric acid (boric acid lowers the ph level of the vagina) and it provided temporary relief. Once I had sex the situation occurred again. I've tried baking soda baths,boric acid, prebiotic and probotics. All provided temporary relief. Once I had sex the situation reoccurred. Unfortunately, I have not found a way to maintain a 3.5 ph level and simultaneously try toconceive.

I think you should go see your OBGYN and see what you should do because I don’t think it’s normal to get BV every time you have sex. I had BV for the first time a few months ago and got put on Flagyl and it was misery! I get you there. Plus antibiotics that often are not good for you. You’ve probably been on them so much that you have no good bacteria left. I started taking Yukult yogurt drinks daily as well as acidophilus probiotic daily to help get my bacteria back. I was on IV antibiotics which is how I ended up getting BV, but being in antibiotics that long might do it. Definitely talk to a doctor.

I recommend you to switch partners. I have noticed over the years that i could have unprotected sex with withdrawal and get BV with 1 person but i could have a ton of unprotected sex with cum inside me with an other person and my kitty stays clean. Its all about the penis and the bacterias in his body fluids even precum. As far as treatment i have always used antibiotics and they helped.

I tried them. They seemed to work at first, but then caused very bad irritation to my cervix. I began bleeding bright red blood. It was very painful. I would not recommend. 
See your doctor. Doctors can often be dismissive. Don’t let them just push you off. Stress that this is a continuous problem.

I would go to your GP and get a proper prescription for something to treat it. It might work but I would rather speak to the doctor about it first
