My boyfriend never reassures me

Hi! My bf and I have been dating for two months and have been together for a little over 3, he’s never been in a relationship before so it’s all new to him and I’ve been super patient about that but it’s starting to become a problem for me. My ex ruined me and caused a lot of self doubt and all that other fun stuff that comes after a toxic relationship. So Because of that I need a lot of reassurance or I start to think my boyfriend doesn’t want to be with me anymore, which I know is kind of ridiculous but it’s just how my brain works. So. I don’t know how to tell him this and not seem crazy or mean, I just need a little extra affection every once in a while so I don’t overthink. Let me know how I can approach this!
