Are you taking your toddler in for Dr appointments?

Up until now I’ve taken both of my kids in for their well check Dr appointments. But, covid is really bad in Southern California right now and I’m not sure if I should take them, or post pone.

I will continue to take mine. If there’s any place that should know how to properly clean to prevent the spread of a virus it’s a healthcare facility. And I am aware of the precautions my office takes so I feel comfortable.

Yes. The Cdc recommends and child under 4 continue to have well visits. I could never live with myself if I didn’t take her and something needed attention that I didn’t know to look for or have the ability to look for (I.e. head size or growth issues). I have a friend whose daughter was diagnosed with cancer because of a well visit exam. She had zero symptoms. Not a chance I’m willing to take, her office takes precautions

Nope! I stopped taking my daughter around 9 months, shes not sick and meeting all her milestones so I dont see the point

Absolutely! I wouldn’t stop my child’s well child visits. 
Depending on your insurance, you may be required to take them to keep coverage. That may be something to look into.

Yes the clinics do a great job and keeping everything safe and clean. And limited providers in at time so no one has been in the waiting area with us and any child who may be sick or has any kind of symptoms wait in their car. They have Dr's for well checks and Dr's for those that are sick. And same for rooms,  sick rooms and healthy rooms. That how our pediatrics is running right now.

Yep, I still am and will continue to do so until his doctor suggests otherwise. No reason to not, in my opinion. In UT cases are pretty high, but i still feel comfortable taking my son to the doctors office where they’re very good about social distancing and masks. Even before the pandemic there were always very few people in the waiting room at his pediatricians office so it’s never been a concern for me.

Don’t do anything your not comfortable doing. If your worried then don’t do it. I haven’t taken mine since the ‘12’ month which we ended up doing late anyways since I was scared back then. This month will be rough but it will get better! It has too.

I’m in Southern California also and I will definitely be taking my son if he needs it..we just went to his 18 month old appointment

Yes. We live in Fl. And he just went to his 18 month well check last month. I just had to wear a face mask. They have a note on the door that states if you have a fever, wait in the car and call to be checked in. And someone will come to get you when they are ready to see you.

Yes. Toronto is in lockdown but these appointments continue as planned - with a massive amount of precautions
