Does he like me?

Tonight I went over to my fwb. I was leaving and we were both standing at the top of the stairs facing one another really close. He was acting real goofy and playful. I told him “what’s going on with you you’re never this playful you’re normally so serious”. And he jokingly goes “I can’t be myself around you”. And I said “what do you mean?” And he responds “I was joking I mean I can be be myself around you and I know you won’t judge me”. We didn’t talk for a few seconds but we’re just staring at one another and were so close to kissing each other but I was like “I better get going”. And he was frazzled and was like “right yeah no worries”. He was walking me out and we were just chatting, and he asks me why don’t I ever kiss him just because, even just on the cheek. And I was like to him “ you know I’m not the most affectionate person and plus I don’t want to over step any boundaries. And he was like “oh yeah... true. Well I mean I wouldn’t mind if you did kiss, even just in the cheek. But I get it”.

I’m trying not to read into the situation that much but is something going on? I know it’s probably best to just ask him but I don’t want to jump the gun just yet just in case I’m reading too much into it. But what do you girls think????
