Brought up relationship concerns, SO makes me cry, and ignores for 5+ hours?

I listened to you lovely ladies regarding my SO's wandering eye. Thank you for your female energy and support 💕 I had the courage to bring up how I felt about it to my SO in a very kind and patient manner, and he didn't take it too well.

He was upset and told me that he only likes me. He said that he will notice hot women and will do nothing but a short glance, but never stare at a woman. And if I did catch him staring it's because he naturally observes his surroundings. He explained that his dad has a wandering eye for women even when his wife is next to him which is why he does not do it. However, the way he told all of this information was full of anger and impatience, and he kept on pressuring me by asking over 6 times if I believe him. I told him yes everytime, and he told me he would use it against me if I brought it up again. Then he tried to blame me for ruining the night, and I tried to set the breaks by saying that he cannot turn the tables on me and that I have every right to bring up how I feel. Then after a couple moments of silence, we kissed but he didn't feel like he wanted to kiss me, and immediately told me that he should drop me off at home. So he dropped me off, I went home, and I cried.

He usually texts me every 1-2 hours to check in on me, and this time he messaged me in the middle of the night 4 hours after the heated convo, saying that he really likes me and that he hopes that I know. I responded telling him that I like him too, and he made me cry, and that I needed hugs. He responded in the morning telling me that he's sorry and he will give me hugs, and I responded that I enjoy being with him. Haven't heard from him in 5+ hours.

What are your thoughts ladies? I'm actually still very hurt by his actions and cannot stop crying because of his behavior from yesterday and his silent treatment. Should I be worried that he hasn't texted me for that long and is my situation even normal?
