Where to place car seats?

Question

So I have a 4 year old who is forward facing and right now her car seat is in the middle back seat. When I have my baby im not sure where to place the forward and backward facing seats? Does it matter? I have a 3 row SUV so space isn't an issue. Just wondering safety wise if there is a certain way to put them?
Edit: obviously i know the baby needs to be rear facing. Come on now. 🙄

Safest is probably putting baby in the middle if both seats fit safely that way. However that does come with the possibility of your first “playing” with the baby like poking baby while they sleep and both of them being within arm’s reach to torment each other as they grow up. We don’t get a safe fit with our middle seat so my kids are on opposite sides of the car.

I would put the baby in the middle once considering it’s the safest spot and 4 year old behind passenger or driver seat.

My oldest is behind the passenger seat, because she’s more needy in the car than the baby and that way I have easier access to her to give/get things to her. My newborn is behind the driver seat and I have a small monitor on my dash board and a camera on the seat that points directly at her so I have clear view of her at all times.

5yo is in the third row passenger side, 1yo is on the 2nd row passenger side, and new baby will be directly behind the driver (no middle for 2nd row) It's much easier for me to squeeze the base unlatch button with my left hand and lift with my right. 
Since there's no safety differences between the passenger and driver's side, just do whatever is comfortable for you.

My oldest is behind me and my youngest is behind passenger. They’re both rear facing.

We placed the enfant carseat behind the drivers seat because we used a mirror to check on baby while driving; especially longer travel for appointments. 
I would either keep the toddler seat in the middle or behind the passenger seat. In the middle might be helpful because as the baby grows the older sibling can entertain baby or even help out with giving baby a soother...etc. Otherwise it’s completely fine to place each one next to a window that way everyone has their space.

If it fits I would do baby ( middle seat) toddler passenger. If not then I would do baby passenger and toddler behind driver seat.

I'm going to put baby behind driver and keep 3.5 year old behind passenger so she isn't getting out on the traffic side. If you prefer to keep one middle and they fit that way, it probably doesn't matter but if your older kid is use yo being in the middle and seeing and communicating with you that way then I might just leave it. Easier to grab baby and/or infant car seat from side too.
