When did you put your baby in their crib?

So I’m wondering when you put your LO in a crib in their own room at night? & how did you transition?
My baby girl still wakes up for 1 night feeding around 3am (she’s 7w old). So she still sleeps next to me in her bassinet. We do daytime naps in her crib but haven’t tackled a night yet. Any advice?

In his crib since birth, but in his own room since 7months old.

U can start it and do it from the day they are born since she only wakes up once o would start now be easier when younger then older

In her crib from day one, but she is still in our room at 12 months. Not by choice, we moved and are renovating and with COVID, border closures no help and all it is taking forEVER 🙄

I’m thinking about transitioning my 3.5 month old to her crib but in my bedroom. Since she slept in my room since birth I feel like it might be easier to put the crib in my room. Then once she’s used to the crib move the crib to her room since it’s only one change at a time. Instead of a new bed and new room both at the same time.

I know most experts say it’s best to keep them in your room by your bed until they are one year due to SIDS. But my son slept terrible (and so did I) because he would hear us move even with the noise machine on. Then he’d fuss - I think because he could see me.
I tried transitioning him to his own room at 6 months and it was the best decision I made. He stopped waking up at night - would sleep right through. And on the odd times he did stir at night, he’d adjust position and go back to sleep. He just enjoyed having his own space where he could sleep without our movement waking him. What made it a little easier for me (because I’m a worry wart) is we had an Owlet sock. He could roll both ways at that point so I didn’t worry about him getting stuck on his belly, but it still helped ease my mind.
However - if my son had been sleeping like your daughter seems to be, I would have waited to move him to his room

We transitioned at 4 months. He wasn’t quite able to roll back to belly but he was starting to try. It took about a week to ge him comfortable in his crib. He still woke up once a night, usually around 3/4. We were told we could stop his night feed too to get him to sleep through the night. That took about a week too. I would just get up and rock him to sleep again and not offer milk. He was sleeping until 6 AM by 5 months, then we hit the 6 month leap and it was all over, like starting over again 🤦🏼‍♀️

We actually started around week 7. 
The baby’s room is next to ours so if we leave the doors open we can hear her. We’ve got a baby monitor in there too but I usually hear her before I hear the monitor for some reason. 
We did day time naps in her crib before, just like you’re doing, and didn’t have too much trouble with the transition. I think it was actually harder on us than her.
