Any Garndening Tips?

Hello! Okay, so I have never planted anything in my life so any advice is certainly welcome!

We planted snaptini dragons...I try and water them every other day...do I need to remove any dead parts or leaves from a tree that’s fallen into the soil...do I need to move the soil around...I have zero knowledge about any of this.
