Itchy vag

My vag has been itchy since my period started but only where hair grows not inside or anything like that. It gets itchy mostly at night and starts getting white but when i wash it has dead skin come off of it . I doubt it’s anything crazy because me and my boyfriend been having sex for a while now and neither of us have anything. Any home treatments before i call a doctor? I really don’t want to call a doctor if i can fix it at home especially with covid. I also shaved before my period so maybe that might cause it to be effected as well.
