Would you consider this binge eating?

Question

My boyfriend takes Adderall and it sometimes makes him not hungry, so he will go a little while without eating. But when it wears off, at nighttime or if he didn’t take it for a day he will do stuff like eat an entire family sized box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch in one sitting, in under an hour, after he already ate dinner. He is skinny so I’m not worried about his weight, just worried he’s binge eating.

I mean yeah hes overeating most likely but I wouldnt worry too much.  When I hear binge eating, I'm thinking it's someone who uses food as means to replace some kind of emotional distress and they eat away their sorrows, not someone medication wearing off lol

How is it any different than intermittent fasting? As long as he's not puking it back up or taking laxatives to make the food pass faster, what's the problem? All he's doing is eating his calories on a different schedule than you.

That is completely normal. My son takes a different medication for his treatment but it’s affects him the same way no appetite at all during the day whilst the meds are in his system. Then of a night when worn off at around 9pm its like he has never been fed. Doc said just to let him eat whatever he wants of a night when he has that reaction.

No. That’s totally normal when you’re taking Adderall. Both my husband and my son take it. That’s not binge eating. I’d encourage him to try and eat small throughout the day even if he’s not hungry though.

Adderall is basically meth,  he should probably stop talking it.

Basically yes, but it's different from a classic restrict/binge cycle, given it is brought on by medication... maybe? 
I often starve by accident (health problems) and after, sometimes your body gets SO HUNGRY you can't stop eating, and usually foods with a lot of simple carbs and fat, because it's the most energy you can get quickly. Your body needs to repair after not having enough food.
