Am I over reacting?

Hannah

So my partner and are are expecting our first baby mid March. He was supposed to be getting his tattoo finished across 2 appointments, one at the end of Jan and one at the start of Feb.

So because of COVID and the new lockdown his appointments have both been cancelled. So we were talking about it and he says something like oh well I’ll just add more money to the £500 I’ve got saved already in case I want to add something else on the day it’ll probably only get postponed a month anyway- baring in mind he hasn’t bought anything for the baby, yet he’s managed to save £500 for this? - anyway I’m not bothered so much about that as he has been saving for like 6 months. What’s bugged me is that I said to him that because we’re having the baby in March he’s going to have to see what dates they offer him, it’s probably not a good idea to book 2 appointments around the time baby is due and he just said “well if they offer me it why would I wait longer than I have to?”

I don’t know it’s just rubbed me up the wrong way - what if i go into labour? Or what if the baby comes and we’ve got like a 1 week old baby at home he’s just going to piss off for 2 days for a tattoo? What’s the harm in booking his appointments say for the end of April?

Sorry I guess I just needed to rant 😂
