Does your husband/ boyfriend protect you?

Does your husband or boyfriend protect you? I’m curious. Do they put your best interest first and you, theirs? If you’re not comfortable doing something- do they push you because it will benefit them or do they truly respect you?
How do you know if they respect you?

You know because if you tell them your not happy about something they say ok we won’t do that what would you prefer and are open to seeing what suits both of you and will compromise

My man protects me anywhere we go. If I’m uncomfortable doing something he doesn’t make me. Even if I say no to sex, he will respect it & not guilt trip me or manipulate me for saying no. We’ll continue our good day like nothing happened because I have a right to not consent. I have social anxiety so he will go in the store to pick up items for me if I get all weird about it or go get my food. I know he respects me because he values my opinions. We work as a team to accomplish things.

M’y husband will always and has àwayspushed me to be better in every way. And I do the same to him. To us part of respecting and caring for each other is to constantly help each other improve. :) but we met at basic military qualifications and we were partners through it so we started our relationship in that healthy you can be better mentality:)

My boyfriend always protects me, but he does also encourage me to step out of my comfort zone to a degree.

My husband takes me at my word - if I tell him I wish I was better at taking to strangers for example (true story), then he's not going to step in just because I'm uncomfortable, I need to get better by doing. If I tell him I'm not comfortable talking to a particular stranger for x, y, or z reason that he believes is valid, then he'll do his best to assist. If I say I don't want to talk to someone because of a silly reason, say I'm just crabby today, he'll tell me to grow up and be an adult about it - as well he should, although he might make me tea afterward. I think that about sums it up.
