Shopping For Fetus ? Too Early ?

Hey , I’m 3 months pregnant almost 4 . I’m not going to lie I’ve been buying baby stuff since I found out I was pregnant. I’m very excited, and every time I shop for me I shop for my baby . It has become a lot of items to be just 3 months pregnant . My family says I need to stop shopping for my baby . I’m just wondering why is it such a big problem . They keep saying it’s too early , and now that I am in my second trimester they are still saying it’s too early . I’m wondering too early for what ? I know I’m having a girl , so how is it still too early , I’m in my second trimester , I’m out of the statistical stage of miscarriage. I just want to know is there something wrong with me preparing widely before my child’s arrival or should I stop and just wait til the baby is born . I don’t really see why it matters , I have faith in god . I

I had bought a few gender neutral outfits before I was even pregnant 😂🤷🏻‍♀️
When I got pregnant and found out the gender at 9 weeks I started buying stuff right away.
It’s your baby! Do whatever you feel comfortable with :)

I mean I would wait because what’re people going to buy you for you baby shower if you already bought all this stuff? I waited until I was after 20 weeks just because I wanted to make it to viability

My little girl has the same outfit! Personally it think it’s fine I did the same with my first and as soon as I learned gender at 9 weeks for my second I started getting things for her!

There is nothing wrong about it just most people say it's to early since anything can happen at any time of any trimester but really it's nothing wrong with buying but for me I won't be buying until I'm around 28 weeks or so I'm currently 18 weeks

You do you boo, but we opted not to buy stuff so people had items to gift. We only bought items like diapers and wipes and the items not gifted from the registry. 
I find too much stuff to just be clutter. So 🤷🏻‍♀️
But if it makes you happy, go ahead. 
Also, we opted to put more money into a 529 college saving account over clothes or fun stuff. Babies outgrow toys and clothes so fast.

I wanted to buy a bunch of stuff for baby too, and then it was pointed out to me that some stuff may be good options to leave for family to purchase for me as baby gifts. So I focused on getting the basics for the newborn stage so I was prepared. Covid restrictions here made shopping and baby showers complicated, but I have coupons from setting up registries and got gift cards for Christmas to use for the other items I want and don't have yet 😊

I bought one outfit before my son was born and I'm so glad that's all I got. We got so much stuff for him it's insane. He's nearly 10 weeks old and we still haven't had to use our own money for any of his needs. If it brings you joy to buy stuff, fine. Just keep receipts in case you want to return stuff.
