Looking for a little hope

Tw: possible miscarriage?

I went for my first appointment on Wednesday on what was supposed to be 7w5d based on my last period.

I got my positive test at what was exactly 4 weeks.

When they did the ultrasound the baby only measured 6 weeks exactly. There was a heartbeat at 99bpm which they said can be normal for 6 weeks.

Am I looking at a possible miscarriage in the process or could the baby just be that far behind?

I go back at “7weeks” to see if that is what the baby is measuring to see if it’s still growing.

I don’t know what to do. This is my 2nd baby and with my first we didn’t have any complications until the 3rd trimester (preeclampsia and placenta accreta) so this is all new territory for me.

I feel like I’m in this weird limbo where I can’t celebrate being pregnant but also can’t start processing grief of losing the pregnancy.

Has anyone ever been that far off on your dates and everything turned out fine?

Update: Went for an appointment this morning(one week after my last where the baby measured 6weeks) and it measured 7 weeks 1 day with a heart rate of 151bpm! So things are looking positive!
