What makes more sense career wise

I just had a baby a few months ago so now I am staying home, my plan was to stay home for two years and then go back to work but me and my husband were talking and saying that we want another baby in two years so should I go back to work and get pregnant and then work till the baby is due and then leave again to be a stay at home mom or should I try and get pregnant sooner in a year or less and just stay home for the two or three years with both kids and then go back to work instead of going to work then taking a big break again. Sorry if this is confusing.
