Confront him or let it be?

Last night, I woke up to my husband taking my cell phone off my nightstand. I assumed he was trying to access our investment account, which he was. I only have the app on my phone. So I gave him my unlock code, because I don’t care if he has my phone. Then a few minutes later, I woke up to him trying to use the Face ID feature on my phone while I was sleeping. It was a little humorous because he was like shining a light on my face and holding my phone up to my face. Haha. This woke me up and I told him, “my eyes have to be open. The code to my phone is...” and repeated the code so he could access the app.

I rolled back over and thought nothing of it. Then, I woke up around 1:15 (an hour later) and had to pee. I realized my phone wasn’t plugged back in, so I plugged it in. I also noticed I had a text notification, so I opened my messages app. It opened a text message I hadn’t been in for two or so days.

My husband has an Android, so he doesn’t realize that just exiting Messages on an iPhone won’t exit completely, and the next time I open the app, it takes me to the last message opened.

I don’t have any secrets. I don’t care if he saw what I say to my friends, and I would never lie to him. However, I do vent sometimes. Not really about him, but about his brother, who has been mooching off is and staying with us since Thanksgiving. I was also recently venting about his mom potentially moving in. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and sometimes a hormonal woman just needs to get stuff off her chest and be dramatic. He doesn’t like drama, so I try to limit my complaints I share with him.

I’m the past he has called me “controlling”. But I have never gone through his phone, nor would I. And I never suspected he would go through mine. Although I don’t have any secrets from him, I do feel like my privacy has been a bit violated.

Do I let it go? Do I mention it and say it was fine? I don’t know. 🤷🏼‍♀️
