Can I use nuvaring to skip periods

Is it safe/healthy to use nuvaring to skip periods? I am not sexually active but I’m tired of getting my period. Can I use nuvaring to stop them? I know you can keep it in the week your supposed to take it out to have a period but don’t know if you can leave it in indefinitely. Also Ik i am going to get comments like you have to switch out for a new one I know that but like can I keep one in four weeks take it out put a brand new one in the same day keep that in for four weeks and then so on and so on
