I find it so hard to feel sympathy when I told them so

Does anyone find it so hard to feel sympathy for someone when you told them what the outcome was gonna be if they did something, they still do it, the outcome happens, and now they're surprised. For example I told one of my friends not to date this girl. She's toxic and absolutely insane. He doesn't listen. Fast forward a month later he calls me saying she slashed his tires. Like wtf did I tell you?! Ugh.
