What do I do??

My mom, at age 52, went for her first mammogram recently. She got a call back that they want her to see her again because something about the left breast didn't look right. It could be nothing or it could be something. I live 800 miles away, my question is, if something is wrong what do I do? I can't just go home for a month like I would want to. I can't afford that

You don’t do anything? Call her and ask HER as it’s her health my friend. I hope everything turns out ok!

If I was in your position I would wait to see what the second results would be. Once those results are back and if bad I would tell my mother I was to be on the phone when she’s at the drs offices. See if you can reach out to neighbors/family/ friends that are local to see if they can assist in driving to appointments. I would also try and FaceTime once a day and try and talk about something other than the medical. It’s scary to think about being so far away but with all our technology now it’s easier to be present without physically being there. My aunt has cancer at the moment and these are all things my family has been doing with her. We are all local but with covid we have adjusted how we do things. Good luck!! I hope your mom has a clean scan and they just need better pictures. ❤️

I think your best course of action is to do nothing right now. Depending upon the results ask her what she needs. This isn’t about you but about her needs.  Hope for good results❤️

I am so sorry and I hope everything turns out ok! 
They found a mass the size of the tip of a finger nail in my moms left breast in Nov 2019. A month later she was in to have it removed and it had already expanded at that point. They got everything out and took extra lymph nodes to be on the safe side. She has been in remission since. 
My advice would be to call and see how she is doing. If it ends up being something see if you can take off enough time to be with her the day of and a day or two after surgery. Just give her your support and understanding. Be an ear when she needs it. The upside is they are being proactive. They found something and are taking the next steps to help her. Sending you both so much love!
