When to expect a period after giving birth?

I just gave birth to my first baby January 8th and my period hasn’t returned yet.

It depends on a few different things, everyone is different. I nursed my son until he was 2 and didn’t get a period until a couple weeks after we stopped.

Totally normal. Don’t be alarmed if your cycles are totally crazy. I ebf both my kids and I got it back and 4 months and 3 months.

My first time with my son EBF I didn’t get one until 6 months pp. and it was wonky long after as well. This time with my daughter also EBF I got it at 7 weeks pp.

Totally depends. Our son was born and nursed for 2 months. My period came back a month later after he stopped nursing. Daughter was born end of July and I haven’t gotten it yet. She is breastfed.

Totally depends on the person, after my first and second, I got my first period 8 months pp, and after my third I got it at 6 months pp 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s completely different for everyone. If u are/were breastfeeding at all, that can affect it also, as breastfeeding can cause no periods or irregular periods. 
Personally, my period came back at 7-8 weeks postpartum (wasn’t breastfeeding).
