Covid test?

My son has a respiratory thing going on. Tons of green snot, coughing, fussy, sleeping a lot more than normal...no fever though. We don’t take him out of the house much, except daycare, so I’m pretty sure he picked it up there. Should I have him Covid tested? We’re supposed to be seeing family this weekend and the majority of them are vaccinated already and have said they’re fine with us coming still, but I’m not super comfortable with it. I just don’t know because he hasn’t had a fever.

Rosalie was recently tested for covid for similar symptoms. Snot, congestion, slight cough but no fever. I called her doctor and they had her tested. I would ask your pediatrician what they recommend!

I’d check with your doctor, but if we were in the same position I would have Lilah tested! She’s been tested twice and handled it like a champ!

Definitely reach out to her Dr to check. Our Dr had told us if she Norah came in contact with it and had the symptoms or if both her parents had it to just assume she had it to avoid putting her through the test unless we wanted to bring her in

The test is really rough. Even for adults. We had it but I never let them test Ava. Shes too little for me to allow that kind of pain inflicted on her. 
We never had fevers when we had covid. My husband had his temperature checked every time before going to the gym and he had for a few days before he had other symptoms like loss of taste and smell. But no fever at all. 
We thought it was just a cold, we didn't even feel sick. Just mild headaches but definitely loss of taste and smell was what made us get tested. But before the results came back, we went and saw family, convinced it was just a cold.. it ended up being covid and we spread it to nearly everyone there. 
Thankfully no one we spread it to got it bad. Just the headaches and loss of taste and smell. But literally there were like 15 people (Thankfully just kids and my siblings so all younger healthy people. No one older than 37 and no one with risk factors) at my sister's house and 12 of them got it from us going there for 2 hours. When we felt pretty much normal. 
I wouldn't get the little one tested. But if there are elderly people going to be where you're going, you may wanna sit it out.
