My 4 year old son got screened for preschool and I’m a little concerned and would like to know if this happened with anyone else? He scored below average in the academic category, they said he he’s at where a 2.5 year old would be. In language/speech he scored where a 5.5 year old would be and in physical activity he is where a 4 year old would be. I’m confused and a little concerned how they’re saying my 4 year old is scoring this low in the academic category when I’ve never been concerned about his learning capabilities. He’s honestly extremely smart. I’m thinking maybe I’m not working with him in the right categories? I don’t know but I just wanted to know if anyone else went through this, and what did you work on with your toddler to help get them where they need to be?

Also they told me they think it could be he has a short attention span and it may not be as accurate as it says.. like whatever that means?
