Dad revolted by pregnancy

I’m 21 and currently going to college to become a nurse. My dad disapproves of me keeping the baby and has pushed me to get an abortion. I went against him and decided to keep the baby. At first he was coming around to the idea when I was supposed to marry my now ex. He dumped me for something I couldn’t control and left me to deal with the aftermath.

He promises to be there for the baby(my ex)when the time comes. We haven’t spoken at all except for when it’s about the baby which is rare. The baby isn’t here yet so theres nothing to discuss. My dad didn’t take the news of our breakup well and sees me as setting myself up for failure. He has cut me off financially which is his right and has gone so far as to announce he’s moving to Hawaii or Italy before the baby’s born.

I feel sad for my daughter because I ruined her relationship with my dad. She’ll forever be a “bastard” in his eyes as he once referenced children out of wedlock. But I’m also relieved that his negativity will be out of our lives. I can’t help that my ex grew disgusted of me and couldn’t stand to be with me any longer. Why would I force someone to be with me against their will? Neither one of us would be a happy in the end even if I didn’t want to break up.
