Anyone else feel weird calling yourself a woman?

I am 27 and I feel like a teenager. My husband was talking to me and said “most women your age...” and I about fell over. I feel like it makes me feel old!

lmao i hate using “girl” or “gal” but “woman” seems overly formal and weird to me lol. i don’t like referring to myself as a woman, it feels odd to me for sure but it’s better than “little girl”

My son called me to ask if I could pick him up and one of his friends said something in the back and he goes dude that’s my mom , and I told my fiancé .. how weird is it that I’m someone’s mom . And I’m a grown ass adult . I still feel like a teenager . It’s crazy.

I've never called myself a woman yet 😂 
I got married so young, I still look like I'm 16, don't really dress up, and never wear makeup, and the one time I put on a nice outfit and did my hair and makeup all up I walked out of the room and my poor husband said 'you look so grown up!' like your great aunt says to you when you're 12 at Thanksgiving 😬

Not me, because I AM a woman 🤷‍♀️ It actually annoys me when people think I’m younger than I am, probably because since I was a teenager I’ve always been told I look younger & sometimes people treat me like I’m still that young. Just a few months ago, one of my aunts in her 70s couldn’t believe that I was even old enough to drink alcohol, let alone be the age I actually am... I’m 34!!! With an almost 13 year old child!! Like where TF have u been Auntie?!! 🤣 And honestly, most days I feel a lot older than 34... I absolutely love being at home all day, I get tired hella quick now & my damn knees freaking crack, especially as I’m walking down the stairs, I can legit hear them! 😩🤦‍♀️😂 So, yea, no, I definitely don’t feel younger in the slightest!

I'm 35 and when I think about where my mom was in life when she was my age I feel like I'm no where near as adult as her. But I'm married with four kids, stay at home mom with a furniture making business. I'm definitely adulting, even though I definitely don't feel like I should be an adult!

35.gave birth to my tiny monster and thought "I guess I'm a woman now" - the notion still feels weird. At times I message my husband (heh!) all amazed that I'm a mom and he's a dad and we have a daughter.
I guess it's a generational vocabulary thing - most of our life these words belonged to other people; they were used in reference to their lives, their own view of those concepts. 
We read and write about ourselves much more often than previous generations. We also have the image (the visual) of the words we use daily. Not many of our parents kept a diary, and those who did had neither the time, nor the reason to constantly revisit their own writing, whereas WE comment, respond to comments, debate, quote.
Now, suddenly, we're looking at words that belonged in the movies or applied to other people. 
I know my mum didn't feel like a mother until later after the fact, but they were different times and her day did not involve writing down how she felt about her new role. At most she'd tell it to a friend, but even that is not the same - I find that the action of writing down how you feel gives you more time to express it properly and you end up being more open, since there isn't an immediate audience that you're aware of that might cause you to censor yourself. 
I can't wait 'til baby starts talking .. wondering how the names she'll choose for me will make me feel.
