I moved states last year and I have no idea how to make new friends. I still feel like an outsider and I feel like a lot of people my age wouldn’t even think of talking to me because I look 12 (I’m 20, I’m just short and have a young looking face). It’s getting really lonely :c

Take walks in your neighborhood, wave at neighbors, make a comment about their yard or garden, try to get people talking and you’ll suddenly find tons of friends! If you want a pet a puppy makes this even easier, everyone loves a puppy and you’ll meet people everywhere. If not interested in a pet walk in a reservoir or local park, without headphones or earbuds. You can also hang out at book stores or cafes, or browse in stores that have things you like, art or crafts or books or music stores.

I found friends through work, community groups, church, volunteering, meet up apps, lots of different places. Just have to put yourself out there. Not everyone you meet will become a best friend. But you have to try!
