Any of you own and care for poultry?

I’m asking the people who have chickens or poultry. This is kinda gross but being raised on a farm I’ve seen MUCH nastier things.

Anyways, was relaxing outside and watching my chickens and my roosters butt is blood red.

I can pick up my hens but my rooster is fiesty and I’m waiting until my man gets back so he can grab him and we can get a good look at what’s going on. The vets not even open until tomorrow anyways.

I’m wondering if anyone has any idea what that could be. He’s acting perfectly fine but when those butt feathers fly up he has a chapped ass

Jeez watch this turn into us having to grab him up everyday and rub some kind of cream on his butt. Lord, he’s gonna be one pissed off chicken.
