Serious question...
Okay, so first let me say this is in no way or form to offend anyone but I have a genuine question.
I see a lot of moms here that say they are unable to keep up with their house, can barely get a shower in sometimes or a meal because of their little ones. I am a first time mom, will be giving birth in the next 9 weeks or so and I just want to hear from you all.
What is being done while the baby sleeps? Is the baby ever put down to atleast be able to do some dishes and clean up. What about wearing baby in order to do other things like throw clothes in the washer/dryer? How come it’s so hard for some moms? What are your experiences? And for those that have partners, do they help out?
Again, not bashing anyone and I haven’t experienced it myself yet but I feel like I would be able to find the time to atleast keep my home tidy and myself bathed/fed.
Update: thank all of you amazing mamas for all the feedback!!
UPDATE 9/27: for those of you who wanted an update when I actually had my baby…I don’t know if I just got lucky but I have such a good baby lol, she’s 3 months and from the day I got home I’ve been able to take my daily showers, have the house cleaned up and dinner made for my husband. Some days I do feel more tired than others but so far so good. Hopefully it continues as I go back to working from home next month and will also have her with me!
