If youre afraid of flying, is your anxiety worse when your kids fly with you?

Question

This is the first time my son is flying with me in a 1.5 year and my anxiety is super high. Can anyone relate?

Answer

Our son flew with us when he was about that same age and luckily it was pre covid. But yes I still had such high anxiety! Mainly because our airport gets so busy, and then people can just be A holes about kids flying on the same plane 🙄 but after it all, I was more stressed/anxious for no reason. Everything went fine, we bought a couple new toys and little coloring activities that he didn't know about until we got on the plane and anytime he got restless we gave him something new.

I did it as a nanny and I have terrible flying anxiety. Honestly it was better because I was so distracted making sure we didn’t loose anything, loose the child (hello toddler running in an airport!), or getting out vomit from the little dudes clothes that I didn’t really notice it. Lots of activity on that last trip. 
I flew from VA to FL and another trip was VA to Chile. So, a bit of distance with kids.
