My ex broke up with me 3 weeks ago. I wished him the best and moved on.

He just texted me this. Everything prior was 3 weeks ago. I don’t know why the voice messages never disappeared ( in case someone asks)

He said he’s depressed. I don’t want to sound like a bitch but why does he tell me he’s depressed.

I didn’t block his number or anything. I’m afraid that he may regret the break up or is just vulnerable and makes me think he wants a relationship again. I want to help but I don’t want to get attached again.
