“6 pack” or “Soft belly” ??

Gloria

Hello ladies!

Sorry this is very random and a little superficial , still I have to ask!

My boyfriend is a little insecure about his weight, he is so handsome and although he has a bit of a “soft belly” he really isn’t overweight. Actually he is very fit and healthy, he exercises and keeps himself in good health for work reasons as well as his personal motivation.

I love him and I am super attracted to him, I love that he has a soft belly, but no matter what I say he seems to think I am just trying to make him feel better.

He keeps saying that all girls like a guy with abs that show, and therefore it is impossible I don’t like that either.

I told him multiple times that first of all there’s so many reasons why I love him, other than just how he looks, but even so he really is my type physically as well. And I am incredibly attracted to him, I love his soft belly and I’ll take that any day over a six pack!!!

I’m sorry I know this post is long, it’s just that I love him so much and he is so perfect and wonderful and I wish I could make him see how perfect he really is.

Any suggestions on how can I help him see that? Other than just reassure him every time I can obviously 🙄

Also since he keeps saying all girls want great abs in a man I kinda got curious about that too.. no judgment on anybody I am just curious on your preferences!

Tell me girls, what do you prefer a man to have?? A six pack or a soft belly?

EDIT

Thank you all for your feedback!

As I already suspected, what we really should be all focusing about, its a man’s good HEART, not the body it comes in (although of course physical attraction is important too) !

I read of a lot of you guys that stay with abusive or selfish or narcissistic partners or worse, please give yourself (and in same cases your children too) the chance to be truly happy with a good hearted man. Someone that shows it with gestures and behaviour as well as words, the Lord knows everyone deserves that!

I am not trying to patronise anybody, everyone has to go through their own experiences in life. I have too, just please have the strength to not turn a blind eye when you realise some things really shouldn’t be overlooked/passed as normal in a relationship.

The day I was strong enough to do it for myself, it was the day my life turned around and I finally was able to look out for myself and recognise real love once it came around :)

So for all the ones that are already there, I am so happy for you! And especially for the ones that are still working on it.. you got this girl, be strong!!
