Double Vanity and Divorce

I found out last week that my husband has been having an affair so naturally, we are getting a divorce. He left the house and is staying with his mistress so I’ve been packing up his things. We have a double vanity in our bathroom and it just feels strange to me to have it sit empty without all his stuff around it (we have little shelves above our sinks that we keep some of our toiletries on but now I’ve packed his up and his little shelf is empty). Has anyone else gone through a divorce and been left with a half empty double vanity? Did you just let the one side sit empty or did you do something “special” with it? My mom suggested I use it for all my makeup but I already have a vanity desk for that. It honestly makes me depressed seeing it empty.
