Anti D injection

I’m rhesus negative and for my first pregnant I had an anti D injection. I will be tested again for this pregnancy to see if I need one or not.

Has anyone had it before and needed one again for next pregnancy?

Has anyone been told they needed one and never had it and turned out to be fine?
