Throwing and hitting

Hi guys,

New problem. My 18 months likes to throw things and hitting me or her father. The throwing things happens when she is not in tantrum. The hitting stuff sometimes happens during tantrums.

Somehow she wants to see our reaction when doing it. Every single time she did it, she will check on us to see weather we are angry or not.

We diciplined and told her that it's not a good thing with our angry face and she assumes that we are teasing her and she is laughing.

During tantrums, we usually wait for her to calm down and tell her afterwards that it is not a good thing.

We hope this is just a phase and please do give us some tips how to make her understand. I don't want to punish her with physical punishment because i'm afraid it will traumatize her.
