When did you start to feel a close bond with your baby?

Just curious because I instantly felt love for my daughter but didn’t feel like we had a close bond until around 5 months old.

I had horrible postpartum depression. After giving up breastfeeding at 5 months I really started ponding with her!

Post partum anxiety and potentially depression too. Around 8/9 months I started to think... oh this can be fun. Then around 1 when he started talking to me I deeply appreciated that verbal connection. I love my little man (he’s 1.5 now)

I think it took me at least 8 or 9 months to feel truly connected (PPD was really hard on me for the first full year). I don't know exactly when it super changed, but sometime after I started to feel more like myself, I really connected with her. Now she's my little silly bffl❤

Its hard to really say... the first 4ish months were a blur for me. I remember that I didn't feel as in love and attached as I thought I was suppose to, I loved her but she just cried all day every day and I was just so tired from breastfeeding all the time and nobody knew what was wrong with her or why she cried so much. She finally calmed down at around 5-6 months which is when she really started to develop a personality and I got to really "know" her.

Probably around 2 years. Of course when he was born he was my precious baby boy, who I adored and loved. It was just hard for me because of my situation I was put in when I had him.. his dad wasn’t the best dad or partner at the time. So I was basically left alone 24/7 taking care of him. Which I loved being with him, I was just so exhausted. And as a baby until about 2 years of age, he was such a daddy’s boy. He would cry when he would leave, he was the only one that would be able to get him to sleep, he always wanted to go to him and not me. But then it changed and he became a mommas boy. It was kind of right in between for a while. But He’s almost 4 now and he’s definitely a mommas boy.

Well yes bc they are still little strangers , so it's fine 🙂.  With my 1st it was instant after birth with my 2nd it took a few weeks
