Toddler not really talking

So my almost 2 year old isn’t really much saying anything. But does understand and do what we ask him. He does say please but when he wants something. He’s very active and always blabbing stuff but doesn’t speak. Before he turned one he was saying mama and dada and just stop. Has anyone else gone through this? Any advice on what I can do more??

Btw yes I have mentioned this to his pediatrician. She told me to just keep working on it and we’ll see at his 2 year check up.
